Day01:Coimbatore Arr. Coimbatore – Kodaikanal (180 kms – 05 hrs)

Upon arrival at Coimbatore Airport/ Railway Station, proceed to Kodaikanal. Kodaikanal is one of the most popular, peaceful & striking hill stations on the Palani Hills in Tamil Nadu. Enroute halt at Silver Cascade Waterfalls which is a 55 metre (180 ft) waterfall at altitude 1,800 metres (5,900 ft). On arrival, check-in to hotel. Explore the rest of the day at your own. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal hotel/Resort.

Day02:Kodaikanal

After breakfast, proceed for full day sight-seeing of Kodaikanal such as Pine Forest which was set up by Mr. Bryant in 1906 with a view to growing valuable timber. Pillar Rocks is a set of three giant rock pillars which stand 122 metres high. There is an excellent public garden adjacent to the viewpoint. Green Valley View has an excellent panoramic view of the plains and a sheer drop of 1,500 metres (4,900 ft) overlooking the Vaigai dam to the south. Coakers Walk built by Lt. Coaker in 1872 is a 01 km paved pedestrian path running along the edge of steep slopes. On a clear day one can view as far as Dolphin’s Nose in the south, the valley of the Pambar River in the southeast, Periyakulam town and even the city of Madurai. Kodaikanal Lake is an artificial star shaped 60 acres lake built in 1863 and is Kodaikanal’s most popular geographic landmark. Rowboats, Pedals, Horses & Bicycles can be hired beside the lake for short period. Bryant Park is a wonderfully maintained 20.5 acres botanical garden with 325 species of trees, shrubs, cactuses and 740 varieties of roses. Overnight stay at Kodaikanal Hotel/Resort.

Day-03: Kodaikanal– Rameshwaram (300 kms – 08 hrs)

After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Rameshwaram which is also called the Benaras of South India. There is a traditional belief among the Hindus that a pilgrimage to Kashi will be complete only after a visit to Rameshwaram. Rameshwaram has a huge mythological significance to the Hindus where Lord Rama took the journey of constructing a stone bridge that led him and his army to Sri Lanka to free his beloved wife Goddess Sita. Enroute drive past one of the longest sea bridges of India, Annai Indira Gandhi Road Bridge or Pamban Bridge which connects Rameshwaram Island with the Indian mainland. From this spectacular bridge you can see the nearby island and parallel rail bridge called Pamban Scissors Bridge. On arrival, check-in to hotel. Overnight stay at RameshwaramHotel/Resort

Day-04:Rameshwaram

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing of Rameshwaram visiting Ramanathaswamy Temple which is famous for India’s longest temple corridor ever built. Also visit Agnitheertham which is located at a few meters from the Ramanathaswamy temple. It is a sacred stretch of shallow sea which is believed to be located at the same spot where Rama worshipped Lord Shiva. Dhanushkodi, another interesting place where Vibishana, brother of Ravana, surrendered before Lord Rama at this spot. It is a strip of land accessible only by Local Jeep (04 wheel drive) about one km wide and 18 km long on the eastern end of Rameswaram island which divides the waters of the Indian Ocean on one side and waters of the Bay of Bengal on the other side. Also visit Former President Dr. A P J Abdul Kalam House to understand his humble beginnings and find inspiration in his great achievements. Overnight stay at Rameshwaram Hotel/Resort.

Day-05:Rameshwaram- Madurai (180kms. – 4.5 hrs.)

After breakfast, check-out and proceed to Madurai. On arrival, check-in to hotel. Later, proceed for a half day city sightseeing tour of Madurai which is called the `Athens of the East’ because of the way myth meets life here. It is almost synonymous with the famed Meenakshi Temple the nucleus of the temple is older than the Madurai city. The Meenakshi temple complex at Madurai is not only an architectural marvel but also the epitome of Indian culture and civilization. Explore the rest of the day at your own. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.

Day 06 : Madurai

Enjoy the sumptuous breakfast. Later proceed to see the other attractions of Madurai. Thirumalai Nayak Palace, the main Palace where the king lived. Vandiyur Mariamman the area of the tank, and the island pavilion with a garden in the center. Thirupparankunram, one of the six houses of Lord Subramanya, the second son of Lord Siva, is located here. Subramanya is said to have married Indra’s daughter, Deivanai, on this hill. The rock-cut temple of Subramanya here is thronged with pilgrims on all days of special worship. Overnight stay at the Hotel/Resort.
Day 07 : Madurai Dep. Drop at Airport/Railway Station.

Day1: Cochin – Munnar

On arrival at Cochin Airport transfer to Munnar. Enroute enjoy beautiful streams, small waterfalls, rubber, pepper, cardamom and tea plantations and thick forests. On arrival at Munnar, check into hotel for overnight stay.

Day2: Munnar

In the morning, proceed for a sightseeing tour of Munnar covering Mattupetty Lake & Dam, Echo Point, Kundale Lake, Blossom Garden, Rajamalai and Eravikulam Wildlife Sanctuary famous for the Nilgiri Tahr and tea gardens. Return to hotel in the evening for Dinner overnight stay.

Day3: Munnar – Thekkady

After breakfast, depart for Thekkady by road (Approx: 124 kms / 3 hrs). En route visit the panoramic Western Ghat hills covered with spice plantations and an occasional view of waterfalls and streams, several types of spice plantations like cardamom, vanilla, pepper, cinnamon and clove. On arrival at Thekkady, check into hotel. Later proceed for boating on the Periyar Lake (optional) and experience a view of calm crystal clear Periyar Lake and sanctuary. Watch different wild animals while boating. Stay overnight at Thekkady.

Day4: Thekkady – Alleppey

After breakfast, depart for Alleppey (Approx: 185 kms /5 hrs). On arrival, check into the hotel and spend the day at leisure. You can explore the beauty of backwaters or In the evening, enjoy a sunset cruise (optional) or relax near the Venbanad Lake. Stay overnight at Alleppey.

Day5: Alleppey – Trivandrum – Kovalam

After breakfast, depart for Kovalam via Trivandrum (190 kms / 5 Hr). Visit places of interest including Napier Museum, Kuthiramalika Museum and Sri Padmanabha Temple. Stay overnight in Kovalam.

Day6: Kovalam

After breakfast, proceed to Beach at your leisure and visit the coastal areas with the coconut trees and a view of lagoons and palm-fringed Arabian Sea. Overnight in Kovalam.
